About Meaningly
Our Mission
We think that computers shouldn’t have to struggle so much to understand and classify the things we humans create. We’re not talking about general machine intelligence here, but what if we had a shortcut that could offer machines a more human frame of reference that’s written in a language they can interpret? We think the key to helping automate things like content annotation, indexing, tagging, taxonomy management and more across a host of mediums lies within the baseline.
Our Vision
To that end, we also believe in the law of conservation of shortcuts. That’s why we started working on this problem 20 years ago under the leadership of skilled language experts with an enormous amount of patience. And what started then as an unparalleled project to create a controlled vocabulary for all of human experience has now evolved into an even more intelligent knowledge graph of media, data, and services that produce results which are, well, intuitive.
Our Process
Our graph cannot be duplicated by crowdsourcing, for the more that controlled vocabulary projects are distributed the less predictive their results become. At the same time, the depth and breadth of our graph is far more nuanced and complex than the models that most AI companies produce themselves to try and train their services. That means Meaningly can process media and data at the same speed as pure technology services but with the subjective nuance of a team of people. It’s the best of both worlds.
